HISTORY OF USE

Fenofibrates were first introduced into clinical practice in France in 19753
and introduced into the US market in 19984. In 2016, over 650 million
fenofibrate doses were prescribed in the US2. Fenofibrate is cited as one
of the most commonly used fibrates worldwide and is considered generally
well-tolerated3-6.

Triglide was introduced in 2005. In double-blind, placebo-controlled trials,
200mg fenofibrate capsules (equivalent to 160mg Triglide tablets) resulted
in adverse events that led to discontinuation in 5% of patients, compared to
3% of patients treated with placebo1.

IDD®-P MICROPARTICLE TECHNOLOGY

Triglide® is a unique fenofibrate: it has no AB-rated equivalent5. In
its 160mg tablet formulation, it is the only fenofibrate that utilizes
patented IDD®-P MicroParticle technology that reduces drug particle
size and increases the total surface area of the active medication
within the tablet. Both of these factors contribute to enhanced
absorption and optimized bioavailability1.

A single 160mg Triglide tablet exhibits comparable bioavailability to
a single 200mg fenofibrate capsule, micronized1. The extent
of absorption of Triglide is comparable between fed and fasted
conditions, so it can be taken with or without food1.
